Tsumugi is a traditional slub-woven silk fabric commonly used in kimonos. Each thread is dyed before it is woven to create wonderful designs with this handkerchief featuring a kassuri (looks blurry) print with deep reds and black. The back side of the handkerchief is just as awesome with a very high thread count, vintage cotton that may be from the now defunct Cherokee Mills. It is new, old stock so it will get as soft as the silk with use. It is the best cotton fabric I have used so far!
