One-of-a-kind upcycle embellishment

"Threaded Thru Time" Collection: 3/3

Thrifted, vintage Union Bay heavy denim jacket embellished with vintage Dresden Plates quilt block appliqué. Jacket tag listing: size M. Patchwork appliqué hand stitched and pieced by an unknown quilter.  Vintage cotton fabrics circa 1930s - 1960s which were sourced from a Knoxville, TN antique shop. These Dresden circular quilt blocks of color and pattern have also been referred to as “Grandmother’s Sunbursts.” This piece was decades in the making and a collaborative effort of manufacturing, patchwork, sewing, sourcing, etc. An appreciation of heritage, family, regional tradition, good music and winter sun rays was stitched into this one.
